I'm a builder who happens to write software.
Every day I build technology that solves real-world problems. Outside of work, I help ordinary people understand artificial intelligence well enough to use it in their businesses, careers, and everyday lives.
I believe AI shouldn't belong only to researchers or engineers. It should be a practical tool that helps anyone save time, make better decisions, create new opportunities, and build a better future.
That's why I created izzoh.
Why I teach
Teaching has always been part of who I am.
Both of my parents were teachers, and growing up I watched them turn difficult ideas into something people could understand. That lesson stayed with me: knowledge only becomes valuable once someone else can use it.
Most people aren't intimidated by AI because it's too difficult — they're intimidated because it's explained poorly. Computer science hides simple ideas behind complicated language, and my goal is to remove that barrier.
I don't want people to memorize tools. I want them to understand principles. Tools change. Understanding lasts.
The project that changed everything
Early in my career, I worked on a project that developed motorized water systems for marginalized communities in Kenya.
The technology itself wasn't the hardest part. Helping the communities, engineers, and policymakers around it actually use it was.
That experience changed how I think about technology. A solution isn't successful because it's technically impressive — it's successful when ordinary people can use it confidently, without the person who built it standing beside them.
That's the standard I still hold my work to.
What I build
For more than a decade I've worked on large-scale software systems spanning artificial intelligence, machine learning, cloud computing, and distributed systems.
I've contributed to research, patented technologies, and production software used by organizations across multiple industries — work that's ranged from designing intelligent systems to building infrastructure that scales reliably in demanding environments.
Those experiences taught me something: great technology isn't measured by its complexity. It's measured by the value it creates for people. That's the standard I try to bring to everything I build.

Why izzoh exists
Artificial intelligence is one of the greatest opportunities of our generation.
Most conversations about it are aimed at engineers, and the average entrepreneur, professional, or student is left wondering where to start.
izzoh exists to bridge that gap — practical articles, tools, workshops, and courses designed to help ordinary people become builders with AI.
Because I believe the future belongs to the people who build, not simply the people who consume.
Beyond technology
Away from the keyboard you'll usually find me experimenting on the farm, reading, thinking about financial independence, cooking, or building something that has nothing to do with software.
Those interests aren't as unrelated as they sound — they all come back to the same question: how do you build a better life with the tools you've been given?
That's ultimately what izzoh is about. Building. Learning. Sharing. And helping others do the same.
